Comments: The Do-228 performs light transport duties for the IAF and the Army. An estimated 41 aircraft are in IAF service and by 2001-02, more than 80 will have been delivered to seven operators in both civil and military guise. HAL is awaiting confirmation from the IAF for follow-on orders for an additional 18 aircraft which has become Dornier 228's biggest customer.
